B3 Great Joey DeFrancesco To Play In Louisville

Valentine's Day evening should be blazing this year for those heading to The Jazz Factory in Louisville. Hammond B3 organ legend Joey DeFrancesco will be playing two blistering sets that night at the club. I had the opportunity to hear him live several years ago and he blew everyone in the audience away with his power and dazzling technique. For more information, visit The Jazz Factory's website.

For my friends planning to stay in Lexington that evening, I hope you can come out to hear me at Giuseppe's Italiano located at 4456 Old Nicholasville Road. I'll be playing lots of mellow music suited as nice background to a romantic dinner.

That Awesome Voice From NFL Films

The big baritone voice heard on the old shows by NFL Films was that of John Facenda. The other night I watched an old episode and it sure did stir up some fond memories from my childhood. I remember hearing his awesome voice while watching the weekly NFL Films show. Those shows and his voice served as motivation to go outside and play some serious football with my friends. Today I think I'll take my son out in the backyard, give him the football, and then show him my Dick Butkus-like tackling technique.

Click here to listen to Mr. Facenda narrating "The Autumn Wind". I would imagine that it is a favorite of Raider fans.

Lexington KY Jazz

Giuseppe's Ristorante Italiano in Lexington, Kentucky, has live music Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings. I love playing for there and seeing so many friends. The food is wonderful and served by great folks.
